TEAM PHOTO COMING SOON
I'm Lynzy,
Creator of Styled in Hawaii, a Maui Native, & luxury H&M artist dedicated to Hawaii’s brides since 2012.
"If you love your hair and makeup, but don't love the experience, then we have not done our job".
I created this motto as my company’s philosophy. It was born in deep gratitude from the years of serving clients during some of the most intimate and transformative moments of their lives—from bridal elegance to babymoon glow, and countless hair and makeup moments in between.
I’m honored you’re here. I would love to share a bit of my beauty story with you.
Ironically, the blush & bronzer type of beauty was never part of my original career plan. I was raised off the grid, in the Maui jungle—without electricity or hot water (we boiled it)—and far removed from conventional ideas of glamour. Along the way I sat as a muse in the “golden chair” of Jessica Waite—one of my dearest friends and an original Maui bridal stylist. Her work was effortlessly curated and timeless. The creative teams we collaborated with were nothing short of exceptional (see images below). At the time, I never once thought, This is for me.
I was the first in my family to graduate college, earning a B.A. in Global Marketing and Management, with intentions of traveling the world while speaking Spanish along the way (my mother’s side of the family is Panamanian). Hair & makeup was not on my radar.
I was anticipating using my passion for connection and thoughtful client experience into the business world, never once thinking it would be utilized in the beauty realm.
My dedication to communication and care led a prominent bridal hair and makeup company to invite me to apprentice on their team—despite the fact that I had never styled hair or makeup on anyone else… not even myself, let alone a bride. Yikes!
I remember thinking, This is going to be a train wreck.
“Relax,” my husband encouraged, offering a confident nod—arguably the best wedding advice there is.
Had it not been for his unwavering support—and God’s unmistakable sense of humor—I may have never discovered this deep love for beauty as expressed through airbrush, texturizing powder, & lip plumper.
The years that followed unfolded through managing a medical spa, completing an apprenticeship, beauty school, working behind the M·A·C counter, and freelancing alongside esteemed bridal beauty teams across the island. Each chapter refined my artistry and expanded my ability to serve a wide range of bridal visions and styles, while cultivating lasting relationships with Hawaii’s top professional stylists. These experiences ultimately allowed me to curate an exceptional artistry team for your most meaningful occasions.
A dear friend once shared with me, “Beauty is someone—or something—that creates space for your soul to breathe. This is you.”
I am blessed to share this gift of beauty with clients on some of the most cherished days of their lives. This remains one of the greatest honors of my work.
Exceptional customer service is not an add-on; it is the heart of everything my company does. I look forward to creating a calm, comfortable, and deeply enjoyable experience as you settle into my hair and makeup chair. There is only one you—no two fingerprints alike. You are divinely created, without accident, and entirely worthy of being celebrated!
Keep shining.
& Much Aloha
